Marion Dollars for Scholars Awards

Last Friday evening, June 27, twenty-nine Marion graduates received awards from, Marion Dollars for Scholars, local chapter. Each recipient received a scholarship of $220.

These awards carry with them the well wishes and good faith of the entire community, because all this money was raised through donations from private citizens and local businesses who contributed to the MDFS phone-a-thon held this past year.

The winners of the Marion Dollars for Scholars scholarships in the class of 2003 are:

Dan Adriaansen, Aaron Barber, David Barber Jennifer Birmingham, Stacy Bloomer, Lindsey Brower, Elyce Bushart, Jessica Cambier, Adam Casper, Shawn Cummings

Karissa DePoint, Heather East, Matthew Elvin, Roy Franks, Jessica Halliley, Azure Hansen, Katharine Harris,

Randy Lake, Kathryn Leeuwen, Kelly Manktelow, Owen McNamara, Carl O'Connor

Brittany Peters, Gabrielle Peters, Rebecca Plyter, Adam Schoonmaker, Christine Schul, Amanda VerPlank, Samantha Webb.

Marion Dollars for Scholars also 'umbrella's' other pre-existing scholarships, making those recipients eligible for matching funds.
