Inspect child car seats

The Sheriff's office and Wayne County Public Health will have a child safety seat inspection event at Marion Fire Department on July 23, 5-8 p.m.

Please bring the child to the event along with his/her child restraint seat.The sheriff's dept. will also be offering the bounty program. This program is for those who have an old child restraint seat. They can turn the seats in for 2 free movie tickets.

A child under the age of four must be in a car seat. However the National Highway Traffic Safety Committee recommend that children under 57 inches tall should be in a booster seat. The sheriff's office will also be giving away booster seats.

The Marion Fire Dept. will also have the W.H.A.L.E. program.
