Newark kids bring gifts for animal shelter

On Monday (July 7), Megan Piampiano celebrated her 9th birthday with a pool party at the Newark Country Club. She had the birthday, but the presents went to the dogs and cats living at the Humane Society of Wayne County.

Megan gave each guest a special request for her birthday that they bring presents not for her but for her special friends at the Humane Society.

My family has been talking about blessings and how we are blessed a lot. For my birthday, I want to share some blessings with others. I would like my friends to not bring a present for me this year but for the Humane Society instead. See their wish list. Thank you and hope to see you at the party.
