Tax hike meeting in Newark

There will be a Central Park meeting on Wednesday, July 16 at 7 p.m. in Newark's Central Park.

The Wayne County Board of Supervisors is considering a 1% sales tax increase here in Wayne County. Town of Arcadia Supervisor Joe DeSanto has talked to members of the Town and Village boards and asked for their input on this tax; also to the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary and the Senior High School Political Class.

Now, he is asking residents in the town of Arcadia and the village of Newark to come to Central Park and tell him their opinions about this tax increase.
