Pizano's now open in Newark

Pizano's owners Todd Tarantello and George Hetelekides paused Wednesday afternoon, taking a break from kitchen duties.

They are also working feverishly to finish remodeling the banquet room this month, and they are booking parties for this fall and winter.

The facility, on West Union Street, Newark, will be the site of retirement parties, receptions and showers, graduation parties and more. Call 332.0094.

'We're happy to be here,' said Hetelekides. 'We like Newark, we live here, we pay taxes here.'

Pizano's Italian Kitchen opened Tuesday and offers appetizers and salads, specialty sandwiches, brick oven pizza, seafood, Italian specialties, kids menu, specialty drinks and more.
