strawberry Strawberry Festival in Wolcott

This Friday and Saturday (June 20 and 21) are the dates set for the Strawberry Festival in Wolcott, sponsored by the Huron and Wolcott Presbyterian Churches.

Friday from 5 to 7, a ham dinner will be served at the Wolcott Presbyterian Church on West Main Street. Tickets, presale only, will be $7 for adults, children 5-12 $5, and under 5 free.

There will be many booths in Northup Park, in the center of the village. Saturday's events will run from 9 to 6. Of interest to many will be an Antique Tractor display in the park, a Quilt Display sponsored by The Bread and Roses Quilt Guild in the Sanctuary of the Presbyterian Church, Craft Booths with items for sale by outside vendors which will include wall hangings, jewelry, ceramic items, sweatshirts, and much more.

A Game Tent will b set up with games planned for toddlers through 5th grade. The Festival will include many Food Booths. The combined Huron and Wolcott Presbyterian churches will offer a baked food booth with pies, breads, muffins, cookies, coffee cakes.

One of the busiest booths at the Festival is the Shortcake and Sundae Shop, serving up your favorite Strawberry delights.

The Milkshake Booth offers wonderful vanilla, succulent strawberry, or decadent chocolate shakes. The Food Booth will offer grilled hamburgers and hots, nachos, salt potatoes, refreshing sodas and spring water. All prices budget friendly. Strawberries will also be available to purchase by the quart.

A chicken BBQ will be available at 4 p.m. in the park. Tickets for BBQ will be available at the park the day of the event.

There will be a Strawberry Festival Raffle drawing on Saturday, June 21. First prize is $120 cash. This prize sponsored by Brown & Brown, Cavallaro-Newbauer Chevy Olds, Pontiac Buick, Ridge Assn. Ins. Agency, and Wayne Business Services. Second prize is a $25 gift certificate from Wolcott Bargain Center, third prize is $25 gift certificate from Peter's New York Pizzeria. Reserve the date to get out and enjoy all the fun and festivities!
