Feels like summer is finally here - the kids are definitely ready, aren't they? The Williamson Library is getting ready for their Summer Reading Program:

Calling all artists, book lovers and those who imagine. Your library asks you to Picture This: A summer spectacle that encourages children to explore books for pleasure, from toddler board books to teen novels. Imagine That: A reading program that uses literature and creative arts to inspire children of all ages to READ! Beginning June 30 and throughout the summer, kids who visit the Williamson Free Public Library will get an art box reading kit which includes a calendar of events, a reading log, a paint set and a foam picture frame to decorate and return to the library's art gallery. All participants can earn exciting prizes that include Memorial Art Gallery passes, colorful book bags and Eagle Ridge Sports coupons for buckets of balls & mini golf! News from Ralph and Betty Everdyke (by the way, have you seen them out and about in Newark?): 'We did something different for Father's Day. Our two sons, Dave & Reg, took us to the Finger Lakes Race Track for a buffet luncheon and the races. It was something very nice. The weather was great, the company was great, and I won about $40 besides. I hadn't been there in about 20 years or more, so it was good to see again.' (Congratulations, Ralph, on your winnings.)

On June 26, there will be a Strawberry Social at Casey Park, Recreation Building Stage, Ontario.

I hope the Dads and Moms had fun on their special days. (My kids are always complaining there is no Kids' Day... I think that's called Summer Vacation.)
