Mark date for Alloway Picnic

Residents, past residents and friends of Alloway will gather Sunday, July 6 at 1 p.m. at the home of Amelia Engels, 377 Water Street, Alloway, for the community picnic. The picnic has been a community event for more than 80 years. Each family should bring a dish to pass and tableware.

The Alloway peppermint king, queen and princess will be crowned. Recipients of the Alloway Award, made to high school graduating seniors, will be announced.

Historic Alloway is located two miles south of Lyons on state route 14.
