Lyons Pastor honored for 45 years

On June 29 at 10 a.m. the congregation of First Lutheran Church in Lyons will honor the Rev. Arthur C. Sziemeister, Pastor, on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of his ordination to the Holy Ministry.

Pastor Sziemeister was ordained at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Kenmore, on The Feast of St. Peter I and St. Paul June 29, 1958. He became Pastor of First Lutheran Church on July l, 1958.

In honor of the occasion, Frederick Dunn has composed a festival prelude for the service. The Prelude is in the form of a trumpet tune in F major. The trumpet part will be performed by Adam Richwalder, a senior at North Rose-Wolcott High School.

Dunn is the vocal teacher at the Wolcott Middle School as well as organist and choirmaster at First Lutheran Church. The choir will perform the anthem Now Thank We All Our God by Johann S. Bach under Dunn's direction. Following the Solemn Festival Eucharist, a luncheon will be catered at The Bridge Tavern in Lyons.
