RSVP plans trip

Relax and enjoy the beautiful sites of Alexandria Bay. The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program is sponsoring a bus trip which will include round trip transportation via climate controlled, rest-room equipped deluxe motor coach.

The cost of the September 3 trip is $66 per person. The bus leaves Lyons at 8 a.m. and returns at 8 p.m. Call Wendy at 946.7530.

Shop the small shops that line the streets in Alexandria Bay, and then lunch at the Windows on the Bay Restaurant. The restaurant is located in the Riveredge Resort Hotel, and has breathtaking views of the main shipping channel of the St. Lawrence Seaway.

Participants may choose from roast loin of pork with cranberry dressing and brown gravy, chicken divan with broccoli and gruyere cheese, or grilled eggplant and Portobello mushroom Napoleon with tomato basil sauce over angel hair pasta.

After lunch there will be a narrated 1000 Island Cruise on the St. Lawrence Seaway aboard the Empire Boat Lines. There will be a stop at Boldt Castle, the grandest of all Gilded Age Mansions.
