Black History event in Lyons

African-American History Month includes a celebration this Friday, March 7 at American Legion Post 227 in Lyons.

The Post is located on Water Street; the event runs from 6-9 p.m. and includes:

• The Buffalo Soldiers Presentation Team of Pennington-Moye Post 9251, Veterans of Foreign Wars
• African American Cuisine and History Performances
• African and Caribbean Drums
• Youth Inspiration
• The Don Sago Dancers
• African American Story Teller: Blanch Daniels
