Dady Brothers in Lyons

On Tuesday, March 11 at 7 p.m., the Dady Brothers, a Rochester-based folk music duo, will perform at the Lyons Public Library. The show promises to include both Celtic and folkroots music performed on various instruments such as fiddle, mandolin, guitar, penny whistle and bodhran. The Dady Brothers have been involved in the western New York music scene for more than 20 years. They have performed in many diverse venues in the United States, Canada, and Ireland. Their latest CD, released in 2000, is called 'Songs of the Erie Canal.'

This is the first show in a series of 6 programs entitled, 'FACES II' (Family Appreciation of Cultural Experiences Series). FACES II is a continuation of the library's successful 2001 program 'FACES.'

The performance is free and open to the public. This program is made possible in part with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts.

The library is located at 67 Canal Street in Lyons, at the corner of Canal and Phelps Street. For more information please call the library at 315.946.9262.
