Newark man lands a whopper
William Donnelly of Newark shows his 18 lb. 15 oz. / 42-inches-long Northern Pike, caught March 8 in Keuka Lake. He was assisted by his dad, Lyle Fair of Wayne. The fish was caught on a tip-up using a six-inch golden shiner. It took 30 minutes of teamwork to get the big fish.
This 'catch of the decade' will be mounted by taxidermist Mike Perez of Wild Life Artistry in Lyons.
