Congratulations to Kyle McClinton who placed third in the 1000 meter for indoor track and will compete in the State meet.

Two area students made the fall semester Dean's List at SUNY Plattsburgh. They are Adrienne VanHorn of Marion, a junior, and Sunnie Homner of Williamson, completing her senior year. Congratulations to both.

Gertrude Webb is a resident of the Newark Manor Nursing Home in Newark.

Fred Rachow is a patient at the Rochester General Hospital.

Gen DeVey was able to return to her Sunset Drive apartment after a hospital stay.

Heather Milliman is recuperating following a tonsillectomy.

Item from 1946: There is the usual scarcity of houses in Marion this spring and property is changing hands. Among the recent sales was that of the Kussie farm, formerly known at the Lovejoy farm, to Isaac Adriaansen, and the sale of Mr. Adriaansen's home on Maple Ave., to his brother-in-law, Edward Govenor. The Plyter house on North Main Street has recently been sold to Glacius Smith of Marion. The Radder house on South Main Street, known as the Ranier House, will be remodeled into a two-family apartment which will be occupied by Mr. And Mrs. Roy Johncox and family and Mr. And Mrs. Manville Smith and child. Mr. And Mrs. Jacob Verbridge, who now occupy the house, will move to the apartment over the Market Basket Store.

People want the front of the bus, the back of the church and the center of attention.

The Zap-A-Snack Sale has begun, to help the Music Department

March 19, 1942: The second air raid drill was held at Marion Central School on Tuesday and differed from the first in that all students took their wraps with them.

Congratulations to the modified wrestling team, winning 17 of 25 matches at Williamson, with 10 pins. Marion outscored their opponents 714 points to 279. They own a modified team record of 92 pins.

The United Church of Marion Chicken & Biscuits dinner with homemade pies will be Monday, March 24 from 4:30 p.m. until gone. Take-outs are available.
