Ceremony of Remembrance in Lyons Wayne, Ontario and Seneca county residents who are mourning a loved one's death are invited to attend a Ceremony of Remembrance on Sunday, March 30 at 2 p.m. at the Grace Episcopal Church, 7 Phelps Street in Lyons. Sponsored by Genesee Region Home Care's Hospice of Wayne & Seneca Counties, the ceremony is open to anyone who is grieving - not only to families whose loved ones received Hospice care. Each spring, the Ceremony of Remembrance pays tribute to the memory of area residents who have died and to the enduring strength of their families, friends and caregivers. The non-denominational ceremony features music, readings, personal reminiscences, and prayerful meditation. An event highlight is assembling a wreath of remembrance and hope, with participants weaving fresh flowers into a large, colorful garland. 'Remembering our loved ones can be emotionally challenging,' says Roseanne W. Critchlow, bereavement services coordinator for Hospice. 'But when we attend an event with others who are mourning, it reminds us that we are not alone in our grief.' Free parking is available. Advance reservations are requested to make sure there are enough refreshments at the reception following the ceremony: call 331.7990. Copyright
