Veteran Gatesingers to perform

A reunion cast of veteran Gatesinger performers has gathered to stage a reprise of the Noah's Ark musical, 'Two By Two' with performances March 28, 29, April 4 and 5 at 8 p.m and March 30 at 2 p.m. Tickets are available by calling the Gatesinger box office at 315.589.3326 or by visiting the website at www.gatesinger.org

Recreating their roles from the original production in 1979 are Jay Hanagan and Nan Hanna-Paquin as Noah and his wife, Esther; and Sue Mulberry as their daughter-in-law, Rachel. Rounding out the cast are John L'Hommedieu, Mike Mulberry and John Erwin as Noah's three sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth; and Suzanne Collier and Jaime Prindle as the other daughters-in-law, Leah and Goldie. The production is directed by Anne L'Hommedieu, choreographed by Jaime Prindle, with musical direction by Mary Alice Henry. Laura L'Hommedieu is featured on the keyboard with a variety of sound effects. Designer R.L. Markham added whimsical touches to the Biblical set.

'Two By Two' with score by Richard Rodgers, played in New York from 1970 to 1972. The Broadway cast included Danny Kaye, Marilyn Cooper, Madeline Kahn, Walter Willison, Harry Goz, Joan Copeland, Michael Karm and Tricia O'Neil.

Some familiar songs performed over the years by The Entertainers include: 'You Have Got to Have a Rudder on the Ark,' 'You,' 'I Do Not Know a Day I Did Not Love You,' and the title song 'Two By Two.'
