'Oklahoma!' at NR-W this weekend

North Rose-Wolcott High School brings a classic American musical to the stage April 4 and 5 with its production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma!

Join Curly as he tries to woo the reluctant Laurie. Laugh as Ali Hakim tries to escape the clutches of Ado Annie while avoiding her father's shotgun! Experience Will Parker's frustration as he comes close to winning the girl of his dreams, Ado Annie, only to come up $50 short.

Learn the terrible secret of Jud Fry, Laurie's hired hand. Marvel at the homespun wisdom of Aunt Eller, who tries to keep the peace as all these story lines unfold. Under the direction of Ron Patrick, the musical direction of Nancy Compton, and the choreography of Sara Eden, the enthusiastic cast is preparing a production that is sure to please every member of the family. Michael Witkiewitz will be conducting the pit band.

The show starts at 7:30 each evening. Tickets are $8 per person or $20 per family.
