Grange in Lyons will hold garage sale The garage sale for Eureka Grange will be May 7-9. The hours are nine to five. Items include books, both old and new, clothing, household items and kitchen klutter. The Grange is located on Phelps St., in Lyons (just around the corner of the library on Canal Street). There will also be a bake sale each day with goods baked by Grange cooks. Pies of all sizes will be available and several kinds of cookies. Think ahead for Mother's Day. Three members of Eureka Grange accompanied Rosanne Milem to Albany. She was the recipient of the Robert Earlandt Legislative Award given annually by Wayne Co. Pomona Grange and New York State Grange. Rosanne is a member of Rose Grange and a high school junior. The group toured the New York State Museum and the Capital. They met with Assemblyman Robert Oaks and were introduced on the assembly floor. The other winner was from Lewis County. The Earlandt Award is given in memory of Robert Earlandt of Walworth who was active legislatively in Grange and a strong supporter of youth. Wayne County Pomona Grange donates funds from the port barbecue at the Wayne County Fair for this award.
