Plant sale in Newark The volunteer Master Gardeners of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Wayne County are sponsoring their 14th annual Plant Sale on Saturday, May 10, from 9 until 3, at the Extension Office in Newark (corner of Routee 88 and Hydesville). 4-H Teen Exchange will be serving a pancake breakfast, starting at 8 a.m. Sale items will include a wide selection of herbs, annuals, perennial and vegetable transplants, nursery specimens, groundcovers and geraniums. There will be a Children Only table with Mother's Day gifts. Get your top-quality plants at great prices. Master Gardeners will assist with plant selections and cultural advice. Soil pH testing will be available. Bring an air-dried soil sample representative of your garden area. The sale proceeds are for improvement of the consumer horticulture program, to update and increase educational resource material, and to develop classes. For more information, call 331.8415.
