Rain dampens ceremony for Jim Boeheim

Rain and cold didn't keep some people away from a ceremony Sunday to honor Lyons' native son, Jim Boeheim, Coach of the Syracuse Orangemen, 2003 National basketball champs.

Two legendary local coaches found time to be together - posing here for the camera are Boeheim with long-time golf coach, Lee Boice. Boice coached Boeheim at Lyons High School in golf and served as the school's athletic director at one time.

Although there had been a plan to move the ceremony to the High School in case of inclement weather, organizers took their chances at the Village Park. A sudden downpour caused many to leave the event early.
