New ice cream place in Marion

Carolyn Adriaansen says that after years of searching, she has finally found orange pineapple ice cream at the AKA Ice Cream Cafe in downtown Marion.

The Ice Cream shop is in Mary Ellen's Cafe, and named for her three daughters. AKA stands for Ashley, Kelsey and Arley. Ashley is pictured, ready to wait on customers.

You wouldn't know it by the weather yet, but the summer season is approaching, and you may want to enjoy outdoor seating. Stop by and say, 'Hi.'
