Bed & Breakfast tour Sunday

The 10th Annual Wayne County Bed & Breakfast Open House Tour is scheduled for this Sunday, November 16, noon to 5.

You may visit one or all eleven of the participating Wayne County B&B's, all decked out for the harvest or holiday season.

Now's your chance to peek inside and see what a B&B is all about and what they have to offer. Each B&B will provide the visitor with unique gift giving and decorating ideas along with historical background on the house. Sample a variety of treats at each stop and purchase the Apple Country B&B Cookbook. The book includes favorite recipes from the proprietors.

The participating B&Bs include the Peppermint Cottage B&B located in Lyons. The Mil-Benski Farm B&B in Newark and, in Palmyra, you will find the Canaltown B&B and the Liberty House B&B. Pultneyville has two stops on the tour, B&Bs located along the Seaway Trail and on the shore of Lake Ontario. You won't want to miss Foxglove on the Lake B&B and Raked South Garden B&B.

In Sodus, you'll find the Tanniquetil B&B, Maxwell Creek B&B and, just down the road in Sodus Point, is Silver Waters B&B. The last stop on the tour is the Village of Wolcott, home to New Hartford on the Ridge and Bonnie Castle Farm B&B.

The cost to participate in the tour is $10 for an advance ticket. Tickets and maps may be purchased from the local B&Bs, Lyons National Bank branches, Timesaver in Palmyra, Wayne County Credit Unions, Through the Garden Gate Gift Shop in Macedon, Garlock House Restaurant in Palmyra and the Webster Pennysaver.
