EPCS recycles used cell phones

Why recycle cell phones?

Cell phones contain eight toxic substances including: Arsenic, Antimony, Beryllium, Cadmium, Copper, Lead, Nickel and Zinc. These toxic substances leach into the soil and groundwater from landfills.

The East Palmyra Christian School has teamed up with EcoPhones to recycle used cell phones and earn money to benefit the school. Phones in any condition are welcome and can be deposited in the collection box at school - East Palmyra Port Gibson Road. If you would like a donation acknowledgment for tax purposes, please be sure to include your full name with the cell phone and bring it into the office.

Many folks have already dropped off old phones for this program.
