Happenings I have received a copy of 'Memories of Arthur G. Dean' as told to Dorothy and Leighton Wiant. It is a wonderful record and remembrances of the Dean family. Thank you! Just combine four parts ground cinnamon, two parts ground ginger, one part ground cloves, one part ground nutmeg. The Women's Guild at the Marion United Church, will be holding a 'mini' bazaar and bake sale during the Christmas in Marion Day on December 6. Kits will be ready for distribution on Sunday, Dec. 7. All proceeds from this sale will be used towards construction of the house being built in Marion. Congratulations to Tom and SueEllen Hawn on the arrival of Thomas Glenn on November 6, weighing 7 lbs. 13 oz. and 19.5 inches long. He was welcomed home by siblings, Anthony and Cora. 'Charity begins at home, and goes off to college 18 years later.' November 12, 1925: The officers and employees of the local canning company are looking forward to this afternoon and evening when their annual reception and ball will be held at Holland's Cove. Marion Museum will be open for 'Holiday Open House' on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 10 to 2. This year's refreshments will be an assortment of special jams with scones. Spend time with friends and wander through the six rooms with exhibits and collections. The Elementary School is participating in Campbell's Labels for Education program to earn free educational equipment. Last year we collected enough labels for a color printer and several videos that correlate with our Science and Social Studies curriculum. Help by saving labels from hundreds of varieties of Campbell's products. The products eligible for redemption in the program include:

Combine flour, oats, half of the brown sugar and butter. Mix until crumbly. Press in 2 ungreased 9x13 pans and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Combine pumpkin, milk, eggs, sugar, salt and spices; beat well. Pour into crusts. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Combine pecans, the remaining brown sugar and butter. Sprinkle over pumpkin filling. Return to oven and bake an added 15 to 20 minutes or until the filling is set. Cool in the pans and cut each pan into 15 generous servings. Serves 30. Copyright
