Lyons Library wants coins

The Lyons Public Library is sponsoring a Coins for Construction fund drive for the proposed new building. Placed at the front desk in the library is a large, Teddy bear-shaped container that will be used to collect change from patrons. If you wish to get rid of the change in your pockets, in your car or in the house, drop it off at the library.

Plans call for filling the jar, which originally held 3 pounds of animal crackers, and emptying it several times over the next year.
