Babysitter training in Newark Wayne County Chapter of the American Red Cross will be offering a Babysitter Training course on Saturday, October 25 from 9 to 5 at the First United Methodist Church on South Main Street in Newark. The purpose of the course is to provide boys and girls ages 11 to 15 with the information and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents or guardians. This training will help participants develop skills in leadership and professionalism; basic care; safety and safe play; and first aid. Students must be at least 11 years of age.
