At the Marion Library There is an ongoing book sale ... hardcover books are $1 and children's books are 50 cents. We plan to have a giant paperback sale in the early winter and spring. There are still plenty of openings for the fall story time program at the library. If your child is three years old or will be three by December 1, he or she is eligible for this program. Story time runs Tuesdays through December 16, 9:15 to 10 a.m. The newest employee at the library is Cheryl Blue. She will be working on Monday and Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. I'm sure many of our readers have heard library staff talking about OWWL. 'What do owls have to do with libraries?' Marion Library has been part of the Ontario, Wayne, Wyoming and Livingston shared circulation system, dubbed OWWL by the Pioneer Library System. Your card can be used in nearly all of the 42 Pioneer libraries. The entire Pioneer Library System catalog is available on-line at www.pls-net.org You can renew items from your home computer, and place holds on items from your home computer. To access these services, ask someone at the desk for your PIN. The library will be sponsoring a book discussion club. The first meeting will be October 28, at 6:30 p.m. The first book will be The Secret Life of Bees, by Sue Monk Kidd. If you are interested in becoming involved in this group, call the library to register and order a copy of the book. Copyright
