Harvest Dinner at Newark church

To help fund their efforts to provide religious education, outreach, and service to the community, the congregation of Park Presbyterian Church is preparing for its annual Harvest Dinner for the 13th time. It will be held Friday, Oct. 24.

The meal will feature roasted boneless loin of pork, and include real mashed potatoes, squash, dressing, gravy, chunky applesauce, cole slaw, and beverage. Dinner is followed by a huge variety of homemade pies from which to choose.

Prices are still $7 and $3.50 (kids 5-12). Children under 5 eat free of charge. Takeouts will also be available.

Tickets may be obtained weekdays by calling 331.2255 during church office hours (9 to noon and 1 to 4) or 331.2913 at other times.

Park Church is just east of Central Park, on Maple Court, downtown Newark.
