POW camps will be subject of lecture

The next session of History at Noon at the Wayne County Museum will be held November 5 at the Old Jail Museum on 21 Butternut Street.

Author and lecturer Annette Harris will discuss the Prisoner of War Camps that were located in Arcadia, Galen, Marion, and Sodus druing World War II.

Harris, the author of a local history book, Small Beginnings - The Story of Newark, New York, is writing two books: A book on the POW camps, and a biography of General Anthony Wayne.

Registration for this free event is necessary as seating is limited. Refreshments will be served compliments of the Wayne County Historical Society and Zappia Vending Service, Inc.
