Model railroading at Library

Model railroading is a hobby for everyone. It is a pastime that can be enjoyed with family and friends, but is equally satisfying as an individual activity. Model railroading is also a hobby that can fit any budget-depending on whether you are building a modest table-top track layout, or a basement-filling extravaganza of trains, track, buildings and scenery.

George Irwin, a representative from 'The World's Greatest Hobby' - model railroad promotional organization, will host a presentation on model railroading on Thursday, September 11 at 6 p.m. and again on Saturday, September 13 at noon, at the Newark Public Library.

You'll learn about the fascinating hobby of model trains, from garden-sized to micro-sized. See samples of trains and tracks. Watch a short informational video. Try your hand at an operating track layout. You may enter to win your own train set, courtesy of a 'World's Greatest Hobby' promotion.

This program is free and suitable for the entire family. On the web at www.greatesthobby.com
