9-11 Extra hours on 9-11

Wayne County Historical Society and Old Jail Museum join other museums in America in remaining open for extended hours (10 to 8) on September 11, in an effort to unite with their communities in remembrance of Sept. 11, 2001.

People are also being encouraged to come to the Museum during Remembrance Week, September 8-13, to relate their memories and experiences of September 11, 2001 so this information can be recorded in the Museum archives.

On September 13, there will be a special Kids Kraft class for children age 6-12. The $3 registration fee for members/$4 fee for non-members will cover the materials to make an Uncle Sam Wall hanging.

For information about other events that will take place at the Old Jail Museum during Remembrance Week, or to register for the craft class, call 946.4943, Monday-Friday, 10-4; Saturday and Sunday noon-4.
