Mutt Strut 2003 Registration has begun for the Sept. 21 Mutt Strut for the Humane Society of Wayne County. It will be at noon at Silver Hill Technology Park, Route 88, Newark. There are treats for all walkers and Zanies fleece dog toys for the first 150 pre-registered walkers (choose a llama, elephant, hippo, or camel). Bandanas are given to all dogs, and long sleeve T-shirts are awarded to all humans who collect $25 in paid donations. Awards will be given to the human and canine raising the most money. All registered participants will be eligible for door prizes. Walk a 1, 2, 3, or 4 mile course to raise money for the Humane Society. There are plenty of rest and water stops along the way. Along the course there are many activities to entertain both you and your dog. Arrive at noon, take the walk, then enjoy a chicken dinner from Burnham's Red Rooster, while listening to the music of the Local Shepherds. There is a $10 registration fee, with a maximum registration fee of $20 per family.
