Contest in Clyde The Clyde Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a 'Park Name Contest' for the park on the south side of the Route 414 Bridge. The name should reflect historical heritage and past or present Erie Canal association. Anyone in the Town of Galen or Village of Clyde is eligible to enter the contest. Entries must be mailed to the Chamber of Commerce at P.O. Box 69 Clyde 14433 by October 1. All entries will be reviewed by five judges who will select three finalists. These three selections will be submitted to the Village of Clyde Board of Trustees for final selection of the official park name. The winner will be announced October 20, and will receive a $50 cash prize from the Chamber of Commerce.
