Community Sale in Pultneyville

This year marks the 14th anniversary of the Community Wide Garage Sale sponsored by the Pultneyville Historical Society. Past community participation and support has made this fundraiser for the Historical Society tremendous success. Proceeds are used to finance the Society's exhibits, continued restoration of the Society's home at 4130 Mill Street and Gates Hall, and to promote public awareness of our local history.

The Community Garage Sale will consist of a large flea market in Centennial Park located in the center of Pultneyville, as well as multiple individual homeowners who have registered to participate. The Historical Society will sponsor a garage sale in Gates Hall (across from Centennial Park), as well as a pie sale and farm market at the PHS house. In the past, the sale has proved to be very profitable for participants due to the benefit of extensive advertising provided by the Pultneyville Historical Society.

Good Old Days Country Shop (formerly The Country Warehouse) will be open as well as the Salmon Creek House, and just a hop, skip, and a jump west on Lake Road you will find Reflections Antiques in quaint surroundings.

What you may no longer use and might consider junk could easily be someone else's longed for treasure. So, clean out that basement, garage, attic or barn and get yourself, ready for the Community Garage Sale to be held in the Hamlet of Pultneyville and the surrounding area on Saturday, September 20, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There are many new items such as Seagull Pewter items including bookmarks, wind chimes, zipper pulls, key chains and polar fleece reversible jackets. A new supply of books recently published by the Wayne County Historical Society entitled, 'A Gathering of Memories, Images and Recollections of Wayne County, New York' are now available (no discount on the books).
