Fun for all ages at Old Jail Museum

The next Elder Class at the Wayne County Old Jail Museum, 21 Butternut Street, Lyons, will be October 9 at 1 p.m. In this class, designed for senior citizens who enjoy making easy contemporary crafts, participants will make Gobblicious Treat Buckets.

The cost of the class is $3 and pre-registration is required.

And for children in grades 5 through 8, a Craft Class will be held October 7, beginning at 3 p.m., at the Wayne County Old Jail Museum on 21 Butternut Street. In this class, designed for children in grades 5-8 who enjoy making contemporary crafts, participants will make Halloween Votive Candle Holders.

The fee for this class is $3 for members, $4 for non-members and $1 less for additional children from the same family. Pre-registration is required.

The October 8 Wednesday Craft Class will begin at 1 p.m., at the Wayne County Old Jail Museum on 21 Butternut Street. In this class, designed for adults who enjoy making contemporary crafts, participants will make witch centerpieces.

The fee is $3 for members, $4 for non-members. Pre-registration required.

On October 10, from 10:30 to 11 a.m., parent-supervised pre-school children are invited to visit the Make It Take It table at the Wayne County Historical Society Old Jail Museum, 21 Butternut Street to make fingers and thumbs out of peanut butter clay.

Registration is necessary for most classes. Call the society office at 946.4943, Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
