Puppets added to Steps of Faith Dance program
Laura & James Davis and puppets

Puppetry has been added to the range of classes taught at the Steps of Faith Dance Studio in Lyons.

Rachael Williams Platt is the Studio's artistic director; professional Christian puppeteer James Davis is the new instructor, assisted by Laura, his puppeteer wife.

He was part of the Quimper's Corner touring puppet company located in Anchorage, Alaska. Seven years ago, he founded Hands Lifted High Puppet Ministry, where he, Laura and his three other puppeteers tour with their puppets, stage, lights, and sound system to different churches in New York State and Pennsylvania.

James and Laura are also co-directors of the Youth Ministry at the Lighthouse Community Fellowship in South Butler.

The Steps of Faith Dance Studio emphasizes teaching all forms of dance (such as tap, ballet, modern, lyrical, jazz and pointe) for all ages of students from age 3 to age 73. They are not limited to dance and eventually will be a total Christian performing arts center. Presently, besides dance, they teach acting, adult aerobics, and puppetry.

Steps of Faith Dance Studio is run by The Pointes of Faith Dancers, Inc., a professional Christian Dance Company. For information on becoming a student, call 946.6180.
