Two fires this morning Fairville Volunteer Fire Department is the lead agency at two fires this a.m. At the Peter Herman Sawmill on Skinner Road, off Minstead Road, a 40 x 60-foot pole barn is destroyed. That 5:45 a.m. call brought assistance from Newark F.D. with Tower 4 (pictured are Firefighters Dick Colacino, and Tyree Albright, up in the bucket); Sodus Center, Wallington, East Palmyra and Palmyra.
Frank Quinn at County Fire Control reported that the barn fire on Fish Farm Road was called in at 4:57 a.m. Assisting at the barn fire are Lyons, Sodus, Sodus Center, Wallington, Marbletown , East Palmyra , Newark and Marion.
