Lecture in Lyons on collections care A lecture series addressing issues facing small museums and historical societies begins on April 28 at 10:00 a.m. Guest speakers will lead the five sessions that are sponsored by the Wayne County Historical Society and that will be held at the Old Jail Museum on 21 Butternut Street. The first lecture will focus on basic collections care and collections preservation and will be presented by John Marks, Curator of the Geneva Historical Society. The session will run from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with an hour break for lunch. Subsequent sessions (May 26, September 22, October 27, November 17) will address grant writing, board development, publicity, and fundraising.
