Lyons teen will study in Cairo
He has enrolled in the intensive Arabic Language program. The 2003 graduate of Lyons High School is finishing his freshman year at George Washington University in Washington, DC, where he is majoring in Middle Eastern Studies. He works as a research assistant at the Palestine Center and volunteers his time as a tutor for the Washington DC School district. He is the son of Jon Hummel and the Rev. Dr. Cynthia Huling Hummel.
