Newark quilt of memories

Kaitlyn Freling has participated in horse shows since age five and has earned over 700 show ribbons.

Her parents, Randy and Seana Freling of Newark, had these ribbons made into a quilt as a graduation gift.

Sarah Wemett (pictured with Kaitlyn) designed and created the quilt, which took seven months to complete.

Included in the quilt are photos of Kaitlyn with several of the horses she has shown over the years. The names of all 12 horses are embroidered around the center square. She has shown Hunt Seat, Saddle Seat & Western.

Kaitlyn is a 2004 graduate of Newark High School and will attend FLCC in the Pre-Nursing program.
