Marion's downtown street is now complete. Here's hoping they will continue down South Main to eliminate the ruts and bumps.

Sunday, September 26, there will be a re-dedication of the Civil War Monument, erected in 1904, in the Marion Cemetery on North Main St. More about this next week.

Madelyn Cambier underwent successful cataract surgery on August 10.

Alden Prutsman is presently residing at Wayne County Nursing Home.

Congratulations and Praise! Jon and Jen Goodwin on the safe and early arrival of Kaitlyn Ruth on August 8. She weighed 4 lbs. and 1 oz. is 16 inches long. Grandparents are Ray and Cindy Welch and great grandparents are Larry and Janette Nevlezer.

August 17, 1944: A group of young people who enjoyed the lake trip to Coburg last Sunday were Jane Cattieu, Carol Cook, Barbara Exton, Shirley Nye, Barbara Sanford, Eleanor VerPlank, Roger Anderson, Frederick Crane, Herbert Johnson, Gordon Morrison, Nelson Nortier and Lloyd Van Hoover.
