Fundraiser for Steingraber family planned

The Cub and Boy Scouts from Pack 111 in Sodus are holding a special fundraiser to help a friend.

The event will be for Zack Steingraber and his family. Zack is 10 and will enter fifth grade.

On July 24, Zack suffered a brain embolism that ruptured. He was Mercy Flighted to Rochester General. Zack survived the rupture and the two surgeries that were necessary to save his life. Zack is currently in St. Mary's in the city for rehabilitation for the paralysis on his left side.

This fundraiser will be August 28-29 in the Paton's Parking Lot from 9 until 3.

Cub Scouts will be accepting/collecting all your 5-cent cans and bottles at the entrance to the store. In the far end of the parking lot we will have a homemade bake sale. The Boy Scouts will be grilling and selling hot-dogs and cold cans of pop. Cash donations will be gladly accepted by any of the Scouts.

All money raised will go directly to the family to help with medical costs and the cost of Mercy Flight.
