Surrender tires by paying $1 each

Wayne County Soil & Water Conservation District is sponsoring a Residential Tire Collection Day.

  • Tires will be accepted Saturday, October 2 between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.
  • Proper disposal of unwanted tires serves to enhance natural resources as well as rural neighborhoods.
  • You must pre-register by calling 946.4136 by September 24.
  • Limit 50 tires per individual (no commercial businesses please).
  • All lead weights must be removed from tires.
  • Tires with outside diameter greater than 48 must be cut in half.
  • Tires with or without rims will be accepted.
  • First come, first served (a maximum of 2000 tires will be accepted).
  • NO tractor tires allowed.
  • Drop-off fee - $1 per tire. (cash, check or money orders accepted).

This program is open to Wayne County Residents only.

Tires collected by the Soil & Water Conservation District will be taken to a certified recycling facility.
