Gala held for Newark hospital

Food, wine, music, the holiday season, and a great cause... a gala celebration was held Saturday night. ViaHealth of Wayne Foundation hosted A Gala Affair & An Affair to Remember at the Chart House at the Newark Quality Inn.

The guest of honor was Dr. John Davis, hospital medical director, who just retired from his practice after 42 years.

This special dinner dance benefits health care in Wayne County through the programs and services of Newark-Wayne Community Hospital and DeMay Living Center.

Committee members were: Dr. James Praino, Cyndi Barrett, Eileen Healy, Norma Reilly, Sally Praino, Beverly Wilferth, Judy Leone, Maryra Doyle, Karen Kehoe, Rich Holdridge, Carol Holdridge, Bob Proseus, and Malcolm O'Malley, Meg Bain, Gail Bedell, Margi Beale, Stu Blodgett, Dick and Sandy Boerman, Betsy Burgess, Jan Burnap, Joe Carnevale, Monica Deyo, Doug Doebler, Andi Evangelist, Kay Hallagan, John Kavazanjian, Ann McCusker, Shirley MacDonald, Mary Anne Nicosia-McCarthy, Dr. Suzanne Prestwich, John Strait, Michelle Vair, Mark Vande, and Susan Van Tyle.
