Pageant Wednesday at Lyons church

On December 15 at 7 p.m, there's a Christmas pageant taking place, for 'special friends' at The First Presbyterian Church of Lyons.

Friends from the DDSO Group Homes, ARC, and Catholic Charities Group Home will share the Christmas story. The Rev. Dr. Cynthia Huling Hummel, pastor of the church and Deacon Ed Sargent of Penn Yan will narrate the pageant. Leslie Leo of Lyons is coordinating the actors, while Anne Blaisdell, Lauren Felker, and Amelia Engels help with costumes.

Olyve Ross will be the organist/pianist for the special service; Beth and Bob Whitbeck of Newark will share their music. Everyone will be a 'star' in the pageant - thanks to the Girl Scout Troop 208, led by Debbie Coons. The girls are once again, making stars for all the participants.

This is the 11th year for this pageant for special-needs adults. The First Presbyterian Church of Lyons is located at the corner or Queen and Broad Streets.
