International Sunday at Lyons church

The children of The First Presbyterian Church of Lyons are presenting a special program on Sunday, December 19 during the 10 service. The program is titled 'Christmas Around The World.' The children will be dressing in international clothing and sharing Christmas customs from other cultures. The children will also sing a song written by Beth Whitbeck of Newark called 'Snowflakes and Fingerprints.' Minna Pulkki, an AFS student from Finland who is staying with the Leo family in Lyons, will be sharing The Lord's Prayer in Finnish. The service will be filled with beautiful music and congregation will be invited to join the choir in singing international Christmas Carols. The service will end with the children and congregation singing 'Let There Be Peace on Earth.'

Alexa Leo will give the charge and benediction. Following the service, there will be a special reception with international desserts. The church is located on 11 Queen Street at the corner of Broad.
