Newark High reunion planned in Florida

Graduates of Newark High School, spouses, and friends are once again invited to attend the annual Newark High School Florida Reunion, to be held February 23 at noon at the Holiday Inn - Venice, on Florida's west coast.

The annual event has been arranged by NHS graduates Olive Proseus and Dr. William Stewart. Location for the get together is the Venice Holiday Inn, located on US 41 By-Pass.

Venice, Florida was transformed into an island in 1963 with the construction of the Intercoastal Waterway. Several quaint lift bridges keep traffic flowing smoothly. Nearby Casey Key, the Myakka River, and the north and south jetties provide great fishing. Casey Key is known for it's shells and sharks' teeth.
