Wayne Hills Club notes 45th anniversary
Members of the Wayne Hills Country Club in Lyons held their annual meeting last month to elect new members to their Board of Directors. Elected to three-year terms were Jim Loson, of Newark; Paul Schaffer, of Lyons; and C.J. Britt, of Lyons. Following the Annual Meeting, the Board elected officers for 2004. John Fratangelo of Clyde was elected President; C.J. Britt was elected Vice President; and Rhayna Arliss of Clyde was appointed Secretary/Treasurer. Other Board members include: Rick Youngman, Todd Brinkman, Gil Mayo, Jim Tormey and Marjory Perez. Wayne Hills will celebrate its 45th golf season this year. Said John Fratangelo, 'We have one of the most beautiful and challenging courses in the Finger Lakes Region and the Board intends to see that it continues to live up to its reputation.' Wayne Hills Country Club offers several membership levels, including single, family, senior, junior and youth. A special membership rate of $1195 for new members has been extended until April 1. In addition to memberships, golfers can enjoy the 18-hole championship course as green fee players at very reasonable rates. Spring and Fall rates are $30 per 18 hole round with cart. Regular season rates are $40 (with cart) Monday Thursday and $45 on Friday Sunday. Throughout the season, Wayne Hills will offer golf specials and coupons, so players are reminded to check with Pro Shop when making tee times. 'Wayne Hills is also a great place to hold a golf outing or tournament,' stated Jim Loson, chairman of the Group Golf Committee.
