Doug and Jeanette Wessie were with a group of about 100 vacationers who spent a week in sunny Aruba. The temperatures hovered around 80 degrees and folks returned with nice tans. They came home with beautiful pictures taken during some of the colorful 50th anniversary carnival parades.

The Baby Bottle Project at St. Gregory's will divide the money returns between the Crisis Pregnancy Center and the Habitat for Humanity program.

Rachel Bailey presented the Ministry of Music at the Second Reformed Church on February 22, with a solo and accompaniment on the piano.

Get your tickets for the Charity Auction to benefit the Williamson Come-Unity Center, featuring Carol Ritter-Wright. It will take place Saturday, April 17, at Cinelli's Restaurant. 6 p.m. Buffet Dinner at $20 and Auction at 7:30 p.m. for $5. Call 589.8105 for reservations.

It will soon be baseball season! I am collecting recipes for Cook Book #5 in support of Marion Legion Baseball. I'd be glad to include your favorite.

St. Gregory's Catholic Church will host a tribute to The Chapel of the Four Chaplains at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 29.

Ithaca College choir will hold a free concert February 29 at 3:30 p.m. at St. Michael's Church in Newark. Elliot Iocco of Newark is a member of this highly regarded vocal ensemble. Musical Journeys is sure to delight anyone who appreciates music.

Social Ministry Corner; Albany Day will be soon here - Have you ever been? Are you interested? This is an opportunity to listen and to make your stand regarding certain political issues that are facing us. There is also time to talk with other concerned citizens at a luncheon. There will be an Orientation Meeting during the week of March 1. February 21, 1957: The basketball game for the benefit of the March of Dimes drive netted $99.61. It was a cooperative project with the Marion Towners playing the Ontario Towners and the faculty defeating the high school seniors.

Wayne County High School Art Show begins Sunday, March 7 at the Wayne County Council for the Arts in Newark at 108 W. Miller Street. The best of Wayne County's high school artists will be judged, ribbons awarded and exhibited from March 7-26. Reception March 7 from 1 to 3 and you are invited. The gallery will be open from 11 to 5 Tuesday through Saturday. 331.4593.
