Breakfast for Barber Scholarship

A 'Hotcake and Sausage Breakfast' will be held Sunday, January 18 at the Williamson McDonald's to benefit the Timothy L. Barber Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Tim was an employee at McDonald's in Williamson and as a tribute to him, McDonald's has sponsored the breakfast each year since his death.

The Scholarship Fund was established by Wayne Action for Racial Equality (WARE), a group in which Tim was actively involved. The fund provides scholarships to two Wayne County seniors who, like Tim, have worked toward achieving racial equality and are active in school, church and the community.

The pancake breakfast will be held from 7 to 11, with hotcakes, sausage, coffee or milk, juice and cookies served.

Tickets must be purchased in advance - at Williamson Come-Unity Center or at McDonald's, or by calling 483.4092.
